Sandgate@Fiveways is an oral history project capturing the stories of some of the people living   in Sandgate Road, Brighton.

Introduction

The project is being run jointly by Rena Feld and Julius Smit. The interviews have been carried out by Rena, who is herself a resident of Sandgate Road, while Julius is responsible for the audio recording and editing, booklet production and running this website. The first interview was conducted in January 2009.
 
November 2009: thirteen voices have been captured which marks the completion of the audio recording stage of the project. An A5 size booket containing printed narrative extracts together with an edited audio CD of recordings, as shown below, will be available as from June 2010.

September 2010: work has begun on recording a second set of recorded narrators, with a view to producing a second volume of interviews by the end of 2011.
